Care

Steam from a household kettle and a hard bristle hat brush will help banish any dust and dirt from a wool hat. Brush the hat using short strokes.

Wet hats should be dried using a clean, absorbent cloth or sponge. Do not place a felt hat on a radiator as the heat will shrink the fibres and cause your hat to decrease in size.

Felt hats are best stored in a hat box, away from direct sunlight.

Materials

These cloche hats are made from Escorial wool, a rare and luxurious wool that can only be found in small quantities in Australia and New Zealand today. The Escorial fibre is similar to a curled spring, and when stretched during the manufacturing process, its natural memory returns it to its original curled state. This curled spring distinguishes Escorial hats as lightweight and resilient. The hat is unlined and finished in the EU.
